Inflammation: What to do and What NOT to do

We all experience inflammation in one way or another. Some of us may experience it as joint pain or chronic pain. For others, it may come up in blood work, but maybe they never knew that it was something they experience on a daily basis.

Whether your doctor told you to decrease inflammation, or you know yourself it’s something to work on, here’s what you can do to help:

Step 1: What to include

Green Tea

Berries

Nuts + Seeds

Omega 3 rich foods such as salmon, sardines, flaxseed and chia seeds

Include regular exercise + drink lots of water to flush your system

Step 2: What not to include:

Avoid added and processed sugars

Avoid high fructose corn syrup

Step 3: How to make the changes- tips + tricks

Start with adding one new food at a time. Aim for fatty fish such as salmon or sardines 2-3x per week or add a tablespoon of flaxseed to your morning breakfast or into your first cup of water for the day.
